8% Chartway Federal Credit Union Premium Certificates

Chartway Federal Credit Union is currently offering 12 month 8% apy cds. Like many exceptional rate cds, these accounts come with added restrictions and limitations. These accounts must be funded with new money not already on deposit with Chartway. These cds have a maximum deposit limitation of $8,000. In addition, to fund the maximum $8,000 limit with these cds, you must have a Chartway Checking account with direct deposit of $500+ per month and a qualifying loan (auto, equity or credit card). A deposit of $5,000 only requires the aforementioned direct deposit requirement, while a minimum deposit of $2,000 simply requires having a Prime Shares account. Chartway has a membership that is limited to those who "live, work, worship or go to school in a defined geographic area served by our Virginia, Florida, Rhode Island and Texas branches".
