According to their website, Metro Credit Union is offering a number of certificate specials with rates as high as 6.50% apy. Rates and certificate terms are as follows:

5.75% apy 11 Month Certificate
6.00% apy 22 Month Certificate
6.25% apy 33 Month Certificate
6.50% apy 60 Month Certificate

The minimum deposit for these rates is $500. These certificates must be funded with money new to the credit union.

Field of membership at Michigan based Metro Credit Union is varied. Individuals in the following groups may be eligible for membership: Those working for the cities of Warren or Center Line as well as workers for municipalities located within 25 miles of any METRO branch. Staff, students and alumni of Macomb Community College and a number of school districts.
