Cal State 9 Credit Union is offering 6.03% apy on a 60 month share certificate. The minimum deposit for this rate is $50,000. Lesser deposits earn lower rates.
Field of membership in Cal State 9 Credit Union is extended to those who live, regularly work, or regularly attend school in Alameda, Contra Costa, San Francisco, Sacramento, or Santa Clara County in California in addition to those who belong to a number of select employer groups, organizations, or associations. I went to Cal State's website and it looks like the 6.03% APY is a Flex Rate certificate of deposit where the rate changes which I guess would mean you might or might not get the 6.03 rate for the life of the CD. Do you have any comments re this?
Currently the only 60 month certificate available on their website with a rate of 6.03% apy is their new Flex Rate certificate of deposit. The rate for this certificate "adjusts with the market (monthly)".
