Chartway Federal Credit Union 13 Month Share Certificate, Rates up to 6.51% APY

Chartway Federal Credit Union is offering up to 6.51% apy on a 13 month share certificate. The base rate on this certificate is 6.01% apy. Those who initiate direct deposit, transfer a credit card balance of $500 or more, or open up a home equity line of $10,000 or more will earn 6.26% apy. When you combine either the balance transfer or a new home equity loan with a new direct deposit relationship you will earn 6.51% apy. The minimum deposit to qualify for these rates is $10,000 and the maximum opening deposit per household for this special is $250,000. You must have either Preferred Plus, Elite 50 Plus, or Premier Checking to qualify for these rates. Those who do not have or open any of the above checking accounts may open these certificates with a .26% lower rate.

Chartway has a membership that is limited to those who "live, work, worship or go to school in a defined geographic area served by our Virginia, Florida, Rhode Island and Texas branches".
