Navy Federal Credit Union is offering 5.60% apy on a 7 year share certificate. The minimum deposit requirement for this yield is $20,000. Lesser deposits starting at $1,000 earn 5.45% apy. These yields apply to both regular and IRA certificate shares.

Navy Federal makes it easy for eligible family of current members to apply for new accounts. You just need the name, birth date, and social security number of a current member when you apply online. This isn't new at all. This has been going on for several months now. In fact, I think the rate has been at 5.60% ever since they ended their 6.25% rate in February or March.
Actually in late April, Navy Federal Credit Union's 7 year share certificate was yielding 5.70% apy. Even if rates do stay the same over an extended period of time, I will still do updates to remind readers of what deals are out there.
