DuPage Credit Union is currently offering a special where they will beat certain competitor's cd rates by .25% up to a maximum of 6.00% apy. This special must be funded with "new money" and the minimum deposit is $1,000. The competing offer must come from a "deposit insured banking institution" (FDIC, NCUA, ASI) within DeKalb, DuPage, Kane, Kendal, Lake, McHenry, or Will county.
